Funemployment Isn't So Fun Anymore

I have officially been unemployed for two months now, and the novelty has worn off. I have really enjoyed being able to sleep in and run errands during the day, but I'm bored out of my noggin, and broke. I've been job hunting and going on interviews for the last few weeks, hoping to find a job that compares to my last. Last week I interviewed with medical software company based in South Jordan, and they offered me a position with them, at the same pay rate I was making in Alaska (it will go so much further in Utah). I start with them on April 9th, and while it is a hot minute away, I don't think I've ever been so excited to go back to work.

My vast amount of free time hasn't been completely spent sleeping and playing Fallout 4 though. I've been able to decorate and organize our apartment, so it feels more like a home now. I went to the D.I. the other day and by some miracle I was able to find the exact same poster frame we already own for $1.50. After spending two years tacked up, our Trapper Creek poster is finally displayed in a way that doesn't remind me of being 19. I bought three other frames at the D.I. as well, bringing my grand total to $4 for a makeshift gallery wall. Overall it was $4 well spent to fill up an empty wall.

Our tiny living room all decorated.

The wall calendar has more items written on it than ever before, between job interviews, important dates, and outings with friends and family, March has been a busy month for Dustin and myself. We did a really adult thing and bought a brand new couch and loveseat set from Ashley Furniture. After weeks of sitting on super uncomfortable camping chairs, our new couches were finally delivered last Saturday and I absolutely love them. They're super cute and fit really well in our small space. We (mostly Dustin) have done countless dump runs to get rid of things we packed, but ended up not actually needing or wanting. The conclusion being that we are absolutely terrible at packing, and even worse at unpacking.

March is the busiest month so far.
